    SCWO’s Presidents’ Forum Welcomes the Year of the Dragon

    It was a vibrant and memorable gathering on Saturday, 17th February as SCWO members gathered to network with one another and welcome the auspicious Year of the Dragon!  Our annual Presidents’ Forum was attended by the presidents and women leaders from various member organisations. Ms Junie Foo, President of SCWO, warmly welcomed everyone and shared about upcoming events.     Celebrating Dedication and Service: SCWO Volunteers Appreciation Party 2023 

    On December 9, 2023, the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) hosted one of the most anticipated events of the year, the SCWO Volunteers Appreciation Party. More than 40 volunteers, Board, Committee members and staff gathered to celebrate with gratitude, recognition, and festive cheer as volunteers were honoured for their unwavering commitment to the community.      In her welcome address, SCWO CEO, Koh Yan Ping expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the tireless contributions of the volunteers and emphasized the impact their work has had on our community.    To capture the spirit of gratitude, SCWO put together an appreciation video, featuring heartfelt testimonials from beneficiaries and staff thanking the volunteers’ efforts.     SCWO Volunteers’ Tea Talk: Making connections for a cause

      On Saturday, 1 April, SCWO organised the Volunteers’ Tea Talk as our ongoing effort to build our volunteering community. Volunteers had the opportunity to network and learn about SCWO’s work while enjoying a delightful spread of refreshments. Our guest speaker, Ms Priscilla Gan from the National Council of Social Services (NCSS), also shared an inspiring presentation about the impact of volunteering and motivated volunteers to continue their selfless contributions towards building a better society.  The audience consisted of long-time volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort to various SCWO initiatives, as well as new volunteers who were eager to explore opportunities to make a difference in the community.…
