    Star Bears and Dining Under the Stars

    At Star Shelter, women and children who are survivors of domestic violence are not only provided safe accommodation, it is also a place where they are empowered to rebuild their lives free from violence. In line with this mission, Star Shelter organizes activities and holds initiatives to help them do just that. The Star Bear initiative was recently adopted by Star Shelter to serve as a source of supplemental income for the residents, where 100% of bear sales go to the residents.     Celebrating the Festivities with Star Shelter

    The residents at our shelter have gone through challenging times and we do our best to alleviate that stress and bring joy to them, and with the support from other organisations, various events were organized to celebrate the recent festivities. For Christmas, The ZONTA Club of Singapore co-organised a Christmas Celebration cum Movie Screening event with Star Shelter on 16 December. Scrumptious dinner, games and prizes and to end it off, the animation “Arthur Christmas” was screened, which was especially loved by the children.
