    New2U Tea Party & Singapore Bicentennial Experience

    The New2U team organised a tea party for our hardworking and dedicated volunteers on 12 September 2019, at the Fort Canning Centre. Hosted by New2u Co-Chairs Avan Chan and Joanna Portilla, the New2U team enjoyed a scrumptious tea before heading for the Singapore Bicentennial Experience together. It was a fun and educational experience and most of all, we were glad for the chance to spend time with our lovely volunteers!

    “Laughter is the brightest place where food is” What happens when you gather a bunch of ladies over food at a cosy café? Without a doubt, you get an afternoon of joy and laughter. On the 20 September 2018, the New2U Volunteers got together at HangOut Café, whose name speaks for itself, and spent an afternoon connecting over food and drinks. Getting the New2U family together is not a frequent affair, as our volunteers usually come to the shop once a week and hardly meet volunteers from other days.     Helping one another can begin with the smallest of gestures and thoughts. Over the years, the New2U Thrift Shop has received much support from individuals and corporations and we no words can describe our gratitude. Thus, it is only natural that we, in turn, give back and show our support and help others.
