Thank You GE Repair Solutions Singapore!
As part of the company’s International Women’s Day celebration this year, GE Repair Solutions Singapore Pte Ltd (GRSS)’s Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Council was looking at doing something meaningful – an activity that could contribute to society, especially for women in need.
Upon coming across SCWO’s corporate video, they reached out to SCWO-Star Shelter to understand better how they can provide support and contribute by way of an in-kind donation.
GRSS curated 3 types of support kits for the beneficiaries, containing essential groceries, toiletries, and laundry and cleaning products. The employees came together to prepare the different variations of support kits. Each kit also contains a unique GE-designed bookmark with encouraging personalised messages for the beneficiaries.
On 14 March, GRSS representatives (HR Partner Kwek JiaJia and Quality Manager/ GRSS Women’s Network Representative Rina Asriningtyas) made a trip to SCWO personally to deliver the 60 sets of support kits to SCWO-Star Shelter.
The Star Shelter team is heartened to know that we are not alone on the journey of supporting our beneficiaries who are survivors of family violence. We cannot do what we do without the continued support from our caring community. Thank you, GRSS!
As a Crisis Shelter, SCWO-Star Shelter provides temporary refuge for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
