SCWO Golf Day 2023

6 July 2023, Sentosa Golf Club – With great weather paired positive energy all around, guests arrived at Sentosa Golf Club for SCWO’s Golf Day. The tournament saw 108 participants, on Serapong Golf Course, including guest-of-honour, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, who sportingly participated in the entire day’s activities.

The SCWO Golf Day 2023 was a triumphant fundraising event that accomplished its purpose of raising funds to support SCWO’s programmes and initiatives like the Star Shelter and Maintenance Support Central. The event, which celebrated the harmony between women and their allies, aimed to support the women under SCWO’s care and promote the ideals of ‘Equal Space, Equal Voice and Equal Worth for women in Singapore.’

Following the cool and slightly breezy time on the course, guests were treated to a buffet dinner, where Ms Junie Foo gave her opening speech.

When we come together under the banner of equity, we can create opportunities for women to excel beyond traditional boundaries, we can bring forth meaningful change that transcends societal norms and expectations. “

Guests were serenaded by Ryleigh Anne Danielle, winner of best smile and 1st Runner Up in Little Miss Singapore 2018 Talent Segment. Ryleigh was also a participant in the previous In Her Stride 2022 Concert, where we raised awareness against domestic violence, on the International day of Eliminating Violence Against Women. Singing her number from the concert, and an evergreen tune, Can’t Help Falling In Love, by Elvis Presley, she left the crowd in awe.
