    Presidents’ Forum & Annual Lohei Lunch

    The Annual Presidents’ Forum and Lohei Lunch held on 16 February 2019, saw 32 member organisations come together to toss the Yu Sheng and shout out auspicious phrases. During her welcome address, Dr June Goh highlighted SCWO’s plans for 2019 which included the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame exhibition from Oct to Dec 2019, Star Shelter’s participation in the Global Network of Women’s Shelters Conference and the Women’s Register’s reconceptualization. Dr June touched on our proposals for ACWO presidency such as the Inspiring Girls programme and the ASEAN Women’s Hall of Fame.     Insights: Women Looking at Pre-Budget Issues

    To kick start the New Year, SCWO invited Minister Indranee Rajah, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for Education, to be the guest for our third installment of the SCWO Insights Series Women Looking at Pre-Budget Issues on 9th January 2019. Women leaders from member organisations and friends of SCWO joined in this highly-engaging session to discuss pre-budget issues and exchange candid views on several pertinent topics related to women.     President’s Forum 2018

    The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations held its Biannual President’s Forum on 20th October 2018. Twenty Six Member Organisations attended with a total of more than 40 participants. SCWO Insight Series Dr June Goh, President of SCWO updated the members on the upcoming sessions. Dr Amy Khor’s session on Sat 17 Nov 2018 will concentrate on “Women and Health”. Members can discuss issues on ageing and policies which have unintended consequences of ageism, (apart from Care Shield and healthcare issues).  The session with Ms Indranee Rajah on Wed 9 Jan 2019, will focus on The 2019 Budget.
