    SCWO was pleased to have Marion Neubronner, a learning specialist with over 18 years of experience and author of “Turning Gen Y On: What Every Leader Needs to Know about Recruiting and Retaining the Millennials”, hold a mindfulness based emotional intelligence training for SCWO members. Titled Search Inside Yourself, the training was developed and tested within Google and created by thought-leaders in mindfulness, emotional intelligence and neuroscience to make complex concepts highly practical, accessible and easily applied to the on-the-ground challenges of daily work.     SCWO Insights Series: Women and Employment with Minister Josephine Teo

    On 13th May 2019, SCWO held the 4th installment of the SCWO Insights Series, in partnership with its member organization, the NTUC Women and Family (NTUC WAF). This installment centered upon prominent concerns and matters relating to work and employment from a women-centric angle, and is the first of more collaborations between SCWO and NTUC WAF to support working women.     Member Spotlight: Aidha- helping foreign domestic workers and low-income Singaporean women achieve economic independence

    Aidha is an award-winning charity and Institution of Public Character that has been operating in Singapore since 2006. Initially started as a project of the National Committee of UN Women Singapore (then UNIFEM Singapore), Aidha’s mission is to help foreign domestic workers (FDWs) and low-income Singaporean women achieve economic independence through financial education, wealth creation and entrepreneurship. Through Aidha’s programmes, these women gain the confidence, knowledge and skills they need to start taking control of their own financial futures. Aidha has impacted over 4,500 women since its inception and currently has between 400-500 students enrolled at any given time as new classes for FDWs start every month. We offer three…
