An intern’s experience: Hosting an ASEAN meeting
As an intern at SCWO, my most memorable experience here was sitting in for the ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisation’s (ACWO) Board of Directors Meeting. I was tasked with picking up foreign ACWO Members from the airport and later on, accompanying Thailand delegates to lunch and taking down meeting minutes. It was an incredibly draining day where we had to be at the airport as early as 8 am to coordinate transportation of the delegates to their hotels then back to SCWO for the meeting. ACWO Board of Directors Meeting
The 1st Meeting of the 19th ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations (ACWO) Board of Directors (2018-2020) was held in Singapore on 22nd March 2019. Held at SCWO Centre, this is the first meeting since SCWO took over ACWO presidency last year. Dr June Goh extended a warm welcome to members of the Confederation Council and fellow ASEAN delegates to Singapore.
