    19th ACWO Biennial General Assembly

    On 20th November 2020, SCWO held the virtual 19th ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations (ACWO) Biennial General Assembly. This was the first ever virtual Biennial General Assembly in the history of ACWO. At the Handing Over Ceremony, 19th ACWO President, Dr June Goh, officially passed the ACWO Presidency from SCWO to the 20th ACWO President, Datin Hajah Siti Hajar binti Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, President of the Council of Women Development of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD).     ACWO Master Class 2020

    SCWO organised the ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations (ACWO) Masterclass, a 1½ day virtual masterclass, on 16 and 17 September 2020. The ACWO Masterclass is based on the ACWO Vision 2025 Statement and it reflects ACWO determination and commitment to work with women across all ASEAN Member States to bring the ASEAN Community Vision for 2025 into reality. The 3 topics covered in the Masterclass – Advancing ASEAN Smart Nation Cities, Enhancing Quality of Women’s Lives in Ageing, and Women and Entrepreneurship have been chosen by the ACWO Members as the shared vision and goals that ACWO strive to work in concerted effort to provide an enabling environment for women…

    SCWO attends the ASEAN Women’s Business Conference

    SCWO was proud to be the Singapore representative at the ASEAN Women’s Business Conference held on 20th – 21st June 2019 at the JW Marriott Bangkok Hotel, Thailand. Organised by the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) Thailand, the theme of the conference was “Globalization 4.0 and Beyond: Advancing Women Economic Empowerment Through Action and Impact”. Singapore was represented by SCWO President Dr June Goh, and Assistant Honourary Treasurer Irene Boey. Consisting of panels, workshops and company visits, the ASEAN Women’s Business Conference was packed with useful discussions and interesting ideas.
