[Member’s Event] BMSG’s Supporting Parental Mental Health: Creating Positive Parenting Experiences

Event Over Member's Event

Join BMSG this 30 August as they explore mental health and positive parenting experiences in their annual World Breastfeeding Week celebrations!

Entitled Supporting Parental Mental Health: Creating Positive Parenting Experiences, BMSG has invited a series of inspiring and amazing speakers from a variety of fields:

  • Eliza Koo, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • Dr Cheryl Kam, Functional & Integrative Medicine Coach
  • Dr Xander Ong, CEO, Centre for Fathering
  • Linda Van Laer, Registered Counsellor from Alliance Counselling
  • Far’ain Jaafar, VP of BMSG and winner of the Exemplary Young Mother Award (2021) as Moderator

Hear from the experts as they share how mothers and fathers can care for themselves during the child-raising years, including taking the right nutrition, protecting mental health as well as navigating postpartum with grace and positivity.

At a time where the mental health of mothers have come significantly into the limelight, these conversations are hoped to inspire and encourage participants to build a sustainable support system where they feel cared for, respected and encouraged in their journey as parents.

BMSG is also organising its Breastfeeding Supporters Awards for the second year running to recognise individuals, including sposes, family members, colleagues and employers who have made lasting impact on the lives of breastfeeding mothers. The last day for nominations is 10 August, Sunday at 2359 hours.
