The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations Launches A.C.T. Against Violence

A.C.T. Against Violence has been launched!

The catch-all website on all forms of violence against women was launched today at the SCWO’s annual In Her Stride event with Minister of State in the Ministry of Social and Family Development and the Ministry of Education, Ms Sun Xueling kicking off the event with a few words. Also in attendance was Ms Bandana Rana, Vice Chair of UN Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), who shared about how the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted many families – especially women and what communities can do to support these families.

The two were the first of many to submit words into a cloud, which officially launched the A.C.T. Against Violence website.
