Cat D, First Place: “Singapore: A Future for All Artists by Nicole Victoria Iteh
Placing myself in Chng Seok Tin’s shoes, I’d want a future Singapore where artists of all abilities thrive, with technology to accommodate their needs. After being transported to the future, I’d immediately start experimenting with new technology, like in this artwork which depicts a headgear that projects an art program directly into the brain. I would also meet other artists with disabilities who use new tools such as a bionic arm and eye-tracking to draw digitally. I would be very much proud of this future, a truly inclusive society where disabled artists aren’t held back from making the art they want to make.
