Cat B, First Place: “Anastasia’s Universe: Sweet Heritage, Stellar Future” by Oh Yun Dong Emelia
I imagine myself as Anastasia Tjendri-Liew, looking at Singapore in the year 2085. In my artwork, everything is futuristic, with cool technology and space travel is part of daily life. This is Anastasia’s universe. Singaporeans have blasted our locally-loved heritage brand, Bengawan Solo, light-years ahead into outer space! Even though the world looks very different, people still love familiar Nonya kueh and the comfort of a trusted Singapore brand. In this future, tradition stays close to our hearts, reminding Singaporeans of home, warmth, and identity wherever we go in the universe.
