Ms K Thanaletchimi

President, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)

Ms K Thanaletchimi is currently the President of the NTUC Central Committee, the planning, policy and executive organ of NTUC that makes the decisions and takes action to further NTUC’s objectives.   

She is also the President of the Healthcare Services Employees’ Union (HSEU). Concurrently, Ms K Thanaletchimi is Advisor to the Labour Movement’s NTUC Women’s Committee and Essential Domestic Services Cluster.  

Representing workers and the Labour Movement, Ms K Thanaletchimi sits in several Government agencies, national institutions and tripartite committees such as the Industrial Arbitration Court, Tripartite Mediation Advisory (TADM) and MOH Tripartite Jobs, Skills and Training Committee and Co-Chair of Tripartite Community Care Council. In March 2016, she became a Nominated Member of Parliament of Singapore, Labour Movement’s 11th representative since 1992. She also received Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2019.
