Workshop: Kombucha

Kombucha is effervescent fermented tea that people have been making and drinking for thousands of years around the world. It contains beneficial nutrients, enzymes and acids that improve digestion, increase energy and boost immunity. It also helps to detox and maintain your gut and overall health. Each participant will receive their own scoby, starter liquid and a handout with instructions to take home. All materials provided.

Lynn’s children were suffering from a bout of vomiting and diarrhea when she fed them milk kefir given by a friend. They recovered overnight. Since then, she has been a steady advocate for fermented products, making milk kefir for her children, as well as various other food items lke yogurt, gingerbug soda and black ginger, koji, kimchi, kombucha and sauerkraut. She is currently learning how to make her own shampoo, shower gel and facial moisturiser with natural ingredients.
