Volunteering in Singapore: a Candid Look with Philanthropist Dr Fermin Diez

Organised by PrimeTime Business and Professional Women’s Association

Do you want to help and support local associations and charities but not sure where to start?

Want to get involved but afraid you won’t make a big enough difference?

Thinking about volunteering but unsure about time commitment?

Join us for a unique charity dinner supporting HCSA Culinary Academy and Training Programme. This programme helps ex-offenders re-integrate into society by equipping them with skills to secure positions in F&B organisations.

On this special evening, PrimeTime welcomes Dr Fermin Diez, Group Director of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) to share his knowledge and experience on volunteering in Singapore. We invite you to come and hear the candid experiences of this philanthropist and gain a better understanding of how you can get involved. With over 2,000 charities in Singapore it is easy for volunteers to feel overwhelmed. Facing complex problems and despite best-intentions, this sector seems sometimes messy and slow-moving. Dr Fermin Diez will help us navigate this ever-changing landscape and inspire us to focus on resilience, empathy and altruism.

Get inspired to contribute and give back, all while enjoying a meal served by the very special students of HCSA Culinary Academy.
