    Singapore Cooperation Programme Visits SCWO

    SCWO was delighted to be a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Singapore Cooperation Programme (MFA-SCP) organised by the Civil Service College (CSC). The MFA-SCP on Gender Equality between Men and Women: Towards a More Inclusive Singapore Society aims to explore the measures in place to encourage a more inclusive Singapore society. As part of the 5-day in-person programme, 30 mid- to senior-level foreign government officials involved in policymaking for gender equality visited SCWO to learn about the “Role of Civic Society in Supporting Women” in Singapore.     2023 Tripartite Alliance Award

    SCWO is a strong believer in fair employment practices and flexible work arrangements. As such, we have partnered with and supported events and initiatives organised by the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP). We are pleased to share that the Tripartite Alliance Award is open for applications for the 2023 Tripartite Alliance Award (TAA), which recognises exemplary organisations that have effectively implemented fair, responsible and progressive employment practices.     Indonesia’s Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection visits SCWO

    SCWO is honoured to host a visit by Indonesia’s Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (MoWECP), Ibu Gusti Ayu Bintang, and her delegation on 8 November 2022.  As Indonesia’s 2023 Budget aims to focus on empowering survivors to recover from their trauma, the Ministry – in partnership with stakeholders such as local organisations and private sectors – plan to establish a safehouse similar to Star Shelter to better protect women and children who suffer from violence. As such, the delegation looked forward to visiting Star Shelter to learn more about how SCWO protects vulnerable women and handle cases of family violence in Singapore. We are proud and happy to…
