2016 - Consultative Relationship with the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR)
SCWO was granted with Consultative Relationship with the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) in May 2016. This means that SCWO will be able to engage with AICHR to further strengthen ASEAN cooperation in the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms and contribute meaningfully to the ASEAN community.
The Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame was set up to honour the significant contributions of pioneering women activists.
SCWO Report on Equality for Women is Progress for All – Achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Singapore submitted to the 16th General Assembly and Conference of the ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations (ACWO)
United Nations Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC): SCWO was granted special consultative status in May 2014. This status allows attendance by SCWO at events and conferences, and usage of UN facilities and to submit written statements to UN agencies.
CSW59 Written Statement submitted for the 59th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). It discussed the situation of women in Singapore in seven Critical Areas delineated in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
