Screening of ‘The Helper’ Documentary

Organised by Aidha

The Helper is a moving documentary offering insights into the lives of migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong. It explores their compelling stories and the journeys these women take in search of work and a brighter future.

After the screening, we will be joined by three panellists with wide ranging experience in a short discussion on the issues raised.  Associate Professor Anju Mary Paul of Yale-NUS College is an international migration scholar with a research focus on migration to, from and within Asia. Ms Jacqueline Loh is CEO of Aidha, an award-winning charity working to empower and support FDWs to achieve economic independence through financial education and sustainable wealth creation. Ms Mayrhose Coronado is an Aidha alumni , prize winning photographer and domestic helper who moved to Singapore 9 years ago from the Philippines.

There will be a chance for networking and refreshments, kindly sponsored by Macquarie and Prudential.
