MSC Presents: Mental Capacity Act

Mental health conditions are on the rise in Singapore and it becomes ever so important to appoint a trusted person to handle your property and personal affairs should one lose the mental capacity to handle them. Therefore, it is useful and essential for one to have a better under of the Mental Capacity Act – an Act to make new provision relating to persons who lack capacity and to provide for matters connected therewith. This is especially applicable for someone who knows of someone who has an adult children with severe intellectual disabilities but does know how to ensure that their rights are protected just like other citizens.
