For 5 days or 120 hours, go on a Discovery Hunt, which will lead you all over Singapore to some interesting places and introduce you to fun things to do.

About Discovery 12♀ 

Once a year on 8 March, the world celebrates International Women’s Day, focusing on the status & advancements of women.

This year, SCWO has planned for a mega event, lasting 5 days or 120 hours from the 8 to 12 of March 2006 - The Discovery 120 Hunt.

The theme for 2006 is  “Discovery”. In line with the SCWO’s mission to inform & educate, the event is designed for mass reach with multi-agency involvement – aiming for over 80 organisations & participation of 10,000 men, women & children, who will follow one or more of several tracks taking them through institutions & activities related to women’s lives in Singapore today.

How to participate

Purchase a Discovery Guide at S$5.00 and start discovering!

- The Discovery Guide contains the Hunt instructions, listing of activities under the various tracks, discount vouchers and more! What's more, each participant will receive a goodie bag filled with lots of exciting products and items!

THE HUNT

Between the 5-days (8-12 March) participants are to hunt down the participating organisations, retailers and places of interest and perform a task (e.g. putting together a jigsaw puzzle, play an online interactive game, listen to an informative talk, tele-matches etc) based on the following tracks:

• Health, Sports & Fitness, 
• Arts, Culture & Personal Development 
• Home, Family & Community. 

Upon successful completion of that task, participants will receive a stamp on their Game Card (found inside the Discovery Guide). The more places you hunt, the more tasks you complete, the more stamps you collect and the higher chance of winning exciting prizes!

THE GRAND FINALE

At the end of the 5-Day or 120-hour Hunt, participants come back to the New SMU Campus to hand back all their Game Cards and also collect their goodie bags. While waiting for the results, participants can visit our sponsor booths to sample goodies or simply sit back to enjoy on stage performances.

SPECIAL AMBASSADOR AWARD FOR SCHOOL WITH MOST PARTICIPANTS!

We encourage schools to send as many students to participate in this event as a group. Students who register thru their school will only pay a special participation fee of $2.00. The school with the most number of students will receive a special Ambassador Award presented by our Guest of Honour, Mrs S R Nathan.

WHERE TO GET THE DISCOVERY GUIDE?

Participants can get the Discovery Guide at the SCWO Office or at Giordano Outlets (except OG Counters and Giordano Ladies) from 23 February.
