Unveiling the Healing Power of Art: A Tapestry of Women Empowerment
Mama on Palette, SCWO’s member organisation for mother and women artist community development, has successfully conducted an art therapy workshop for Star Shelter beneficiaries in January 2024. “I’ll be with you”, a pioneering initiative developed by women for women, aimed at harnessing the therapeutic power of art to foster self-discovery, enhance self-esteem, and instill confidence among participants. Spearheaded by mama artist Kalarani Paneer Selvam, the workshop has opened a door to self-discovery, creativity, and empowerment for survivors of family violence. Participants were guided through a therapeutic sketching journey, exploring their creativity and expressing emotions. SCWO welcomes new member Mama On Palette, a group of mamas passionate about arts, aesthetics, and mental wellness. The Mama on Palette community shares inspirations about arts and parenting.
