    SCWO Welcomes Minister Masagos Zulkifli

    On 12 December 2022, SCWO was honoured to welcome Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health, and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs. The visit started off with an introduction to SCWO’s initiatives (BoardAgender, Women’s Register, Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame) and services (Star Shelter, Maintenance Support Central). Minister Masagos was updated on SCWO’s future plans in line with the action plans of the White Paper on Singapore Women’s Development released in March 2022.     SCWO’s Pre-Budget 2023 Dialogue

    SCWO started off the new year with a Pre-Budget Dialogue with member organisations on 10 January 2023.     Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations appoints new CEO

    Singapore, 3 Jan 2023 – The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) has appointed Ms Koh Yan Ping as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 3 Jan 2023. Ms Koh takes over from Ms Angel Chan, who is relocating overseas with her family.  Prior to joining SCWO, Ms Koh was the Deputy Director of the Women and Family unit (WAF) at the National Trades Union Congress, the labour movement’s initiative to support working women in Singapore through advocacy and programmes. Ms Koh was concurrently Deputy Director at the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute, an established centre for labour education and training in Singapore.    At WAF, Ms Koh spearheaded…
